Real scientific talent

can only blossom when a mix of individuals is able to work in the right environment. The Biokema team of highly qualified, multi-lingual professionals includes veterinarians, immunologists, microbiologists, biochemists and pharmacists. All work together towards meeting the specified needs of our professional partners today and developing the products which will be required to satisfy those needs in the years to come.

Our team of research scientists

is matched with a highly competent marketing and sales division and the Biokema name has become synonymous with the highest standards of professionalism. Whether marketing products of our own manufacture or those distributed on behalf of our partners from around the world, the Biokema standards are those which our competitors seek to attain.

Biokema's production facilities
are some of the most modern and efficient to be found anywhere. The computer controlled management and monitoring systems allow standards of quality control to be achieved which meet some of the most stringent regulatory demands to be found anywhere in the world. It was not surprising, therefore, for the company to be
awarded Switzerland's first GMP certificate for veterinary biologicals manufacturing. The aim of consistent high quality is well matched, not only by the achievement of GMP certification but also by the evidence of growing market shares and satisfied customers.
Biokema

has recognised the growing demand for alternatives to antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial diseases in both farm and companion animals.
One main R&D focus is on immunoglobulins, which avoid the problems of resistance and residues. The company is poised to dominate this increasingly important market sector. One of the first products to be submit ted to the new European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMEA) was Biokema's Locatim, a new immunoglobulin for the control of neonatal scours in calves. Collaborative research projects with universities, institutes and multinational companies testify to Biokema's professionalism and scientific expertise and to the determination to remain in the vanguard of veterinary product development.
